Uncle Larry’s Antique Shop & Junkyard is a magical world where everything has a price–and the magic is in the learning. In this junkyard adventure, Eli and Grace are joined by their babysitter, Jocelyn, who doesn’t believe the antique store on Broadway could possibly be “magical.”
After Eli, Grace, and Jocelyn receive their “magic junk” from Uncle Larry – a pen and a magic notebook – they step through the junkyard door and meet Torus, an enormous gargoyle who also happens to be an expert in mathematics – especially geometry. Torus explains to his three new students that they must locate 20 different shapes hidden inside his castle, then write them down in the magic notebook. If they write down the wrong shape–bloop–the ink disappears. But if it’s the right shape, the ink will swirl on the page, then it’s on to the next shape.
When Eli accidentally triggers a secret lever—whoosh—he disappears through a trap door. Grace and Jocelyn must continue the search for shapes, while Eli explores the basement. But they will also need some help from Mobius and Lemniscate, two mischievous mini gargoyles, if they want to solve the Mystery of Shapes.
